Installing the VCD PowerPlayer on Windows 3.1: ---------------------------------------------- 1 Start Windows 3.1. 2 Insert the VCD PowerPlayer setup disk into drive A. 3 Open the Windows program manager and choose the "Run" command. 4 In the "Run" dialog, type "A:\setup" and click the "ok" button. 5 The VCD PowerPlayer setup program will start. 6 Follow the setup program's on-screen instructions. Installing the VCD PowerPlayer on Windows 95: ---------------------------------------------- 1 Start Windows 95. 2 Insert the VCD PowerPlayer setup disk into drive A. 3 Choose "Run" from the "Start" menu. 4 In the "Run" dialog, type "A:\setup" and click the "ok" button. 5 The VCD PowerPlayer setup program will start. 6 Follow the setup program's on-screen instructions. NOTE: 1 This version does not support playback of CD-I under Windows 95. ************************************************************* RELEASE NOTES TO VCD PowerPlayer ************************************************************* 1 The video display capability supported by VCD PowerPlayer includes DCI, Win-G and GDI for Windows 3.1. For Windows 95, Direct-Draw and GDI are supported. 2 The audio playback sampling frequencies supported by VCD Powerplayer include 44.1KHz, 22KHz and 11KHz. 48KHz and 32KHz audio formats are also supported. Both stereo and mono-channel playback are supported. 3 Data formats supported include VCD1.0, VCD1.1, VCD2.0, CD-I and MPEG (.mpg) files. 4 Full-screen, full-motion video playback is supported. 5 MCI driver is supported.
