(just as the way you select a printer for printing) The PrintServer-AppleTalk's default name is SCXXXXXX. XXXXXX is the last six digits of your PrintServer-AppleTalk's serial number. Step 2. Edit the corresponding config file: change the line, "0001 Device Name:", to "0001 Device Name: desired_name". Desired_name is your desired PrintServer-AppleTalk's name. Then SAVE this file. Step 3. Double click the icon of PSTool 2.0.8. When menu bar appears , click the printer sub menu. Then select the first item: Download postscript file. Step 4. A Panel will appear on the screen, with a list of Files in the left part of the Panel. Click the config file. Then click the Download button. Step 5. When Panel shows 100% downloaded , please click the cancel button then exit the PSTool. Step 6. Reuse Chooser to look for the new name you just changed. Say "myLaser" Note: If you choose the config.all file, the above steps will overwrite the NetWare and TCP/IP configuration. If your PrintServer is configured to support multi-protocol, we recommend that you use WPCONFIG/PSCONFIG in NetWare or ftp in TCP/IP to make any configuration change.
